Counselling: Deep Brain Reorienting & Havening Techniques

Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR®)

As one of few therapists in Australia to have completed all 3 levels of training in Deep Brain Reorienting®, I offer DBR sessions: Deep Brain Reorienting® (DBR) is a trauma-focused healing therapy that works with the brain’s instinctive orienting response to uncover and process deeply held emotional pain. By gently accessing these core responses at the brainstem level, DBR allows for safe and natural healing from:

early attachment wounds - shock trauma - Complex trauma

DBR is an evidence based trauma processing method and I have assisted in numerous DBR trainings in Australia.

I offer blocks of DBR sessions with an initial assessment session lasting 90 minutes, a further 8 DBR sessions of 60 minutes, and then a final 60 minute consolidation session.

Medicare rebates are available in some instances for counselling sessions.

Havening Techniques®

As a Certified Havening Techniques® Therapist I offer blocks of Havening sessions.  Developed by Dr Ronald Ruden, PhD and Dr Steven Ruden, Havening Techniques® is a psycho-sensory technique that utilises the natural electro-chemicals of the brain to help reduce the negative imprints of traumatic memories. It’s used to treat conditions such as:

phobias - anxiety - panic attacks - stress - depression - somatic pain - grief and loss - PTSD & trauma - fears

Havening is a unique and gentle method for processing traumatic or distressing memories, often involving no discussion of the traumatic contents yet with great and prompt effects.

I offer blocks of 8 Havening sessions with an initial assessment session of 90 minutes, 6 sessions of 60 min Havening and then a final 60 min consolidation session and completion.

Medicare rebates are available in some instances for counselling sessions.
